Necroart - Suicidal Dark Metal Mercenaries hailing from Pavia, Italy

Hello Readers! Welcome back to the blog and this time we are featuring one of the most promising, uniquely evolved metal bands of all time, Necroart!. The trio full length mighty act raging from Italy was featured recently on our interview where Mr.Max, vocalist of Necroart spoke about him and the band.

Deathinmelody : Hello mighty Necroart! It's a real pleasure to have you in our gossip today, How are you all doing?

Max : - Hi Nice to meet you all, everything is going fine, after a year of gigs all along Italy to promote our last album "Lamma Sabactani" we've entered the studios to compose our fourth album!

Deathinmelody: Can you first introduce yourself to the readers if you don't mind.

Max:  My pleasure! I'm Max, singer of the band, I formed Necroart in 1999 to play a blackened death metal in th swedish style, but through the years we've passed by line -up changes an some other influences, today we love to call our music DARK Metal, because inside our songs you can find some different kind of influences (some black metal, old style death metal, doom...)
The band includes also Davide and Filippo on the guitars, Daniele on bass, Paolo on drums and Riccardo on synth/noises and drones

Deathinmelody : Can you tell us the sole reason behind choosing this sub-genre of heavy metal music?

Max: - It's simple, we all love that kind of music; we've grown with it and it's what we like and play most! I cannot imagine a Necroart song without killer riffs, growling vocals or horror atmospheres.

Deathinmelody : Now that's really awesome. Can you name some major influences who brought you to play this kind of music?

Max : - In our music I think you can find various influences, from Moonspell to Arcturus to Sadness or At the Gates...all the bands we listen to may become influence...I invite all of you to check our music and find the influence you think.

Deathinmelody : I'd definitey check all of the Necroart creations very soon! As we know Italy is a place  known for it's culture, arts etc, how would you describe the scene as in metal?

Max : -There was a scene in the early 2ks but now there are too many bands; once the so called "scene" was about date trading, fanzines and support but now There's more competition and a low friendship culture...but we have still so many friends in Italian Black/Death metal, bands like Handful of hate, mortuary Drape, Horrid and some others we're in contact and we all are trying to keep the flame burning as the old times...but it's so difficult.

Deathinmelody : Now that's a tough journey for a band I must say and I wish you all the best!.

Are you familiar with similiar acts Disarmonia Mundi or Neptune from your country?

Max : -I don't know them, I've only heard about these bands...but i think I think they play with passion as we do so we support them...of course!

Deathinmelody : I see. As we all know you have released three albums till now, from The Opium Visions to Lamma Sabactani, can you describe the progress and success regarding each album.

Max : - The last album is always the best for the artists but I'm really still in love with The opium visions because there was a great feeling in the band during the recordings of this album...well I really think that Opium and Lamma.. could be similar for the darkened and doped atmospheres...What about suicidal elite? That album came by a negative period in me as you can listen...there are good songs inside but I don't think that all of them sounds like Necroart

Deathinmelody : I see. I myself fell in love with The Opium Visions and specially, Le Fleur Noir. Amazing song!

How do you think Necroart brings novelty to the sound of traditional melodic death metal?

Max : - We Don't pretend absolutely to bring novelty...we've just tryied through the year to create some kind of black/death7doom metal that we'd like to listen in an album; including growls, atmospheres and killer riffs...yeah, of course we were involved also in folk music and that you can check in some of our songs but the words we used for long time "AVANTGARDE EXTREME Metal" were just a self called to include all our influences

Deathinmelody : Can you name any of your favorite songs from the songs you guys have wrote so far?
- Oh they change ever! By now I think that Necronova and A Visionary's trip from opium visions still sound smart, the title track of suicidal elite is a great song and of course all Lamma sabactani ahahahah

Deathinmelody : What is the philosophy behind the lyrics of Necroart?
- I write all the lyrics, and I'm really obsessed about death, desperation and depression; in the last times I'm also influenced by horror movies and esoteric stuff...I don't wanna write poetries 'cause I'm not a poet but I think my lyrics are straight to the heart of the reader.

Deathinmelody : We have something in common! hahaha!
Let's talk about serious stuff, as we know music industry, and specially the underground scene doesn't pump up much money. What's your view on crowd-funding?
Do you think it will bring some change to the scene?

Max: - Personally I don't accept crowd founding, but in times like these where selling albums and merch has become so difficult any band search its way to survive! we spent our job holidays for the last tours as also we spent the cachet of the tours for studios and merch because our label too feels the crisis of the music business! I know two or three bands that use crowd founding but I'm not involved in it...really, it's a fact of respect.

Deathinmelody : -Now that's a subject of contemplation I must say.

How do you deal with touring agents or labels who might expect you to commercialize your sound? Well that has been happening pretty much these days I guess.

Max : -No way man...Necroart are born independent and will die as independent! we write what we wanna write and what we think our fans and friends do expect from us...we're an underground band, we do not live with music, we all have a job and that permit us to remain genuine!

Deathinmelody: Now this is really something which will inspire many underground artists around the globe. What are your further plans with Necroart? Can we have any hint?

Max : - We're writing new stuff, when Davide our keyboard player left the band a couple of years ago, we decided to replace him with Riccardo that is not a common k-player; his instruments will bring to our song an esoteric aura and that will be the approach to the new stuff. We've two new songs ready that are named "An Invocation for the Horned" and "Tethragrammaton"...we're also searching for bands to partner for a split album or 7"

Deathinmelody: Name one word which may describe all of the Necroart songs in a nutshell.

Max: - "Honesty!" Indeed that's the better word we can use to describe our music and ourselves...you'll never hear a Necroart song that will sound as trendy shit we're just six metalheads trying to play our music!

Deathinmelody: Damn I am in some serious love with Necroart now haha!

Thank you for your time sir, it has been a real pleasure to talk with you, on the behalf of Deathinmelody team we wish you a prosperous metal life ahead.

Max: - I thank you from the deep of my heart! a big hugg to you...keep on with your good work and support undergound music! Cheers!

Cheers!
